Baby Shower Invite Question

We want to request that guests do not wrap their gifts. I had once found a poem that says something to the effect of a ribbon or bow is nice. I can't find it anywhere.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Re: Baby Shower Invite Question

I used this for my sisters shower..,.

You're invited to a shower
For a lucky mom-to be
Please bring your gift unwrapped
So everyone can see

or a longer one...

You know our girl she's a little bit shy
Never wants to be the center of everyone's eye
One little request that we hope you would grant
Whether you're a friend, mother or aunt
We can't wait to see you at the shower
But please don't wrap gifts in more than a ribbon or flower
However simple or silly it may seem
Let's make this day for her a perfect dream
Thank you all for your consideration
(Name of mom-to-be) is going to love our celebration

Re: Baby Shower Invite Question

Thanks,

I found the one I had in mind. What are your thoughts on this one?

WE CAN’T WAIT TO SEE YOU AT THE SHOWER
BUT PLEASE DON’T WRAP THE GIFTS IN MORE
THAN A PRETTY RIBBON OR FLOWER

I like this idea too, but how does it work for small items or items like clothes?

Re: Baby Shower Invite Question

At my friend's shower they wrote, "Please be a dear and wrap gifts in clear!" on her registry card. Almost everyone listened.

Guests can put them in gift bags or baskets.

Re: Baby Shower Invite Question

I like clear much more. Otherwise I think you'll get a lot of gift bags.
