when to switch to a level 2 nipple?
My LO is 7wks...it takes about 45 minutes to feed/burp him 4-5 oz. (Dr. Browns bottles) I feel like it is very long. My friend was over and suggested I switch. Isn't he too young?

I think 7 weeks is too young to switch. We switched to level 2 nipples around 3 months.

Try it, I'm thinking of switching at 3wks, I think dS sucks way too hard and swallows. Air trying to suck that hard. I switched dd that early, it' varies with each child I think.

I would try it and see if he can handle. When dd started taking forever to finish that's when I switched. I can't remember exactly how old, probably around the 3 month mark but I thought about for a while. Once I switched to level 2 I stayed with those until 1 yr. Never switched again.

We switched at 7 weeks because DS is horribly gassy and I could hear him sucking air in so hard on the level 1. It seemed like such a struggle for him. Someone suggested switching and now he's got a smooth rythmic suck on the bottle. Good luck!
