The funny thing is you won't even ending up using everything! Its crazy how many things I ended up not even using or the baby didn't like.

Re: how can someone so small ...
Then a year later, it starts to look like this in your living room:
I went super minimalist on what we got before DD was here. I just didn't KNOW at all! I had to buy so, so many things in the first few weeks of her life. We had a rock n play, but I needed a bouncy seat. She hated the swing so we barely used it. I didn't have a real high chair (had one that went on a chair but it was so hard to clean) so I went and got an easy clean high chair when she was around 4 months. The around-we-go table you see in this pic we got instead of a walker around 5-6 months old and she still plays with it. At least some things last longer than others.
ETA: p.s. - it all goes back into that toy chest / ottoman once she goes to sleep... thank goodness!!! The rest of her stuff, including the anywhere chair, an activity table, her piano, etc, is upstairs.

Re: how can someone so small ...
Let's hope DH and I and Lil' Apple are in a larger home when Apple actually needs these items!
my goal this afternoon was to try to minimize the stuff i registered for. The biggest improvement is that i registered for a swing / bouncer combo rather than 2 separate items.
Next thing on my list of things to do is find a walker / jumper combo (if that even exists)!

Like what?
I feel that I registered very minimally and will actually regret not having registered for more. I only registered for a car seat, stroller, rocker, high chair and a floor gym. I think those are my only big items.

No pack n play or portable crib? No bouncy seat? Changing pad? Mattress? Register for Aden & Anais swaddler blankets. They're pricey but sooo wonderful! You might want to get a jumperoo or something, although I got mine used so I didn't register for one either. But DD adored that thing!
One thing I registered for and barely used was a shopping cart / high chair cover. I used it a little when DD was first sitting up, but it was for a very short amount of time. Some people use them every time they go out, though.

Thank you!
I forgot to mention I registered for the pack n play (with bassinet feature). I also have on there a changing pad, a mattress and a&a blankets.
I did not register for a bouncer. I figured the rocker would be enough.
I also registered for a shopping cart cover but I am not sure how often we'd use it. I figured I'd keep it on there anyway.
Hopefully I have all of the necessities and nothing extra that we will end up not using!

Diaper pail (we tossed diapers into our regular pail), wipie warmer, tons of receiving blankets (never opened), bouncy seat (my dd hated it), lots of toys they can't even play with in the beginning.
Than there is things you don't even need right away that just take up space like, bumbo, highchair, convertible seat. I would have definitely waiting on that.
