I wish you could leave kids in the car.
Really, I wish this.
Do you know how long it takes me to go to like 3 places with all three kids? Quadruple the amount of time at least. In the car, out of the car, who doesn't want to go in the cart, who doesn't want to hold hands, etc. And my kids are really good in stores!! But it just takes so much longer.
When I was a kid my mom used to leave us in the car all the time. I swear, she went on whole shopping excursions with us in the car. I know this is wrong, and I would NEVER do it but I have to admit.... I see the appeal.

Sometimes i wish i could leave them in to just run in to get pizza or go to 7-11! I hate going to quick places with the kids-- to much in and out with carseats!

I wish this every day of my life. Multiple times. My mom would leave us in the car too. Even to nap if she got home and we were still asleep.

i almost feel silly lugging the car seat in w me to pick up DH's dry cleaning...wobbling out w one arm full of clothes, the other carrying heavy baby. i feel like i look crazy! but even just to run in for 2 mins i won't leave him. i agree it would be nice though.
ETA: my MIL leaves my nephew in the car for over a half hour sometimes if she gets to my house for a visit and he's asleep. this was the thing i was most worried about w her watching DS. i've made comments many times to remind her that i'm NOT ok w it.

can I just tell you that I have had clothes in my car for 3 days now b/c I really don't want to take both of them out just to do a 3 minute exchange lol (I could do it before work but I can barely get out on time as it is!) it's really very tempting.

I know. I have to stop at cvs this morning and I am passing by it to drop him off and going back to go to CVS without him only to pass by his daycare again to go to work.
I hate taking him in for quick errands.

Ditto. I remember when DD was a newborn and I used to love taking her everywhere I went. Now, I long to be able to go somewhere by myself. Just getting her in and out of the carseat is such a PITA. And then if I have to carry her in a store real quick, I must look like an idiot trying to manage to get my wallet out of my bag. And then there's all the attention she gets. All I want to do is go food shopping, but get stopped and asked where I got her tights, where I got her headband, oh she's so cute. It's nice, but it just takes me that much longer to get stuff done.

Yup and I only have one.
I can't imagine with 3.
I don't think I'd ever go anywhere if I had 3.
I would be a prisoner in the house because I wouldn't be able to deal with it!
And come to think of it, I do remember sitting in the car with my sister while my mom ran into stores back in the day. Not when we were babies or anything, but maybe like 7 years old and up.
No harm ever came to us.

I wish more places had drive thrus!!! It would make life SO much easier.
Like drive thru cleaners, drive through pharmacy, drive thru BRU/BBB.
Ideally you could order from home and just drive thru to pick up and pay. Seriously, this would be the best thing ever.

I can't tell you haow many times I have opted out of stopping for something I needed, just because I didn't want to have to unstrap DS, and lug him in with me. he is great in stores, it just never a quick stop.

I hear that! I long to just run into 711 grab what I need and run out. Not have to fight with DS as he grabs 20 different things off the shelves, struggle with him and my purse fishing out money to pay. Then to just put him back in the car.
Its hell.

ugh yes! I never ever leave DD or DS in the car alone but I would love it if this world were safe enough for that just for those quick trips into 711 or post office or cvs or what have you. I hate getting them both in and out. its annoying enough when I have to drop DD at preschool and take DS out as well just to walk the 20 feet to the door, but it is highly unacceptable at her school to leave him although I can see him literally the entire time and I never even go into the building!
never saw the appeal of drive thru anything until I had kids. now i will go out of my way for a drive thru dunkin donuts or starbucks and always use the bank driveup atm! love cvs drive through prescriptions!

haha! everytime I pass a DD that is NOT drive thru, I'm like, hmmm they totally have space for a drive thru there why dont they just do it already!?
