If you have Facebook timeline...
Did you make the switch or did "they" do it for you?
I read an article in Time about Timeline. Evidently, FB didn't want to make the switch overnight because it probably would have sent the community into a tailspin as what usually happened with other FB changes; rather, they made it optional at first hoping its better points would spread through word of mouth and so people could see it for themselves first, etc.
So really I'm just wondering when we're ALL getting switched...

I actually just made the switch yesterday. I didn't want to wake up one day and have a different layout, I wanted to take control of my own destiny  . So far it isn't so bad - the home page looks the same which is the most important to me.

They keep SAYING that everyone will be switched over by such a date and then that date comes and goes and still no change.
I switched. I like the LOOK of the timeline, but it still seems really glitchy.

I really don't see what the big deal is, all it changes is your "profile". You don't even look at that every day, you look at your wall which basically remains the same.

I switched myself and i really like the look of it
it doesn't change what you see normally, only when you go look at your own wall, or someone else's wall (and i rarely do that, i spend most of my time on my own newsfeed)

I switched myself back in Oct, and love it. I love the fact that I'm able to input important events in my life, such as getting engaged, married, moving. It's nice to look back and see those memorable parts of my life

I just switched this morning, on my own. You have a full week to look through what will be posted, so it will remain in the old view until then or if you 'publish' it yourself. I went through, hid a few duplicate posts, but it was otherwise fine. It will take some getting used to for sure, but it wasn't as bad as what I initially expected.

I really dont' care that in the Spring of 2000 you went to Paris, etc

I look at my profile maybe once a month? I switched when I joined Pinterest and it makes no difference to me. I also rarely go on other people's profiles except to spy and thank goodness we can still do that timeline or not

I did it myself. I actually like it. They're supposedly switching my business page over any day now. I'm going to have to create a new banner, etc. I'm dreading it. Boo.

How so? I am always worried that I am missing something but what I did was I made everything viewable by "FRIENDS EXCEPT restricted" and I put almost 100 people in restricted. . . every once in a while I check and the settings are right for what I post. . .

ITA! I got shit at work for it!  I locked down my page a little more securely but it wasn't as easy and straight forward as it used to be.
ETA: Because of that stupid ticker on the side, I had to delete ALL my co-workers. I was even considering deleting MIL since she's a co-worker, too! But she never comments or "likes" anything on FB so that's really when your stuff starts popping up in the ticker.
