If you get baby shower gifts sent to your home..
Do you open them or do you bring them with you to the baby shower? I dont think this person was even invited to my shower (its my sister's mother in law) so this gift was totally unexpected. So in general, can you open the gifts before the shower?

Oh hell no! Every time UPS or Fed Ex came to my house it was like Christmas morning!!!!!
I did recognize the gifts and announce them at the shower out of respect for the generous givers.

Im not sure if she was or not. Its my sister's mother in law and the baby shower is only family..so I dont think she was invited. I think she just bought it for me to just be nice. I have to ask my sister if she was invited. I guess if shes going to the shower I will have to wait to open it

this happened with my bridal shower...I just opened them at home. I was kind of sad though, SOOO many people sent them to the house instead of bringing them to the shower. Internet shopping makes people lazy
I'm kinda paranoid that I'll have like 6 presents to open at the shower.

Open them at home. You will have enough to lug home after the shower - don't add to it.

I agree with this. If she does happen to be invited, I'm willing to bet that she sent it to your house to be nice & to lessen the load of what you'll have to bring home with you. On another note, how exciting that your shower's coming up!

We have been getting a few sent to the house. We requested that if people are ordering large items online to have them shipped to us bc we have 2 showers upstate (8 hrs away) and we wanted to save on space to make sure we can fit everything to come back. I am taking photos of the items an will put them in an album w/who purchased them to pass around at the shower.

Good point! Guess I'll be opening up those babys! And yes, I am super excited!! Its on Feb. 25! I cannot believe its almost here. I am soooo excitied!
