My afternoon at Labor & Delivery
While at my weekly appointment today, I was told I needed to go to Labor & Delivery for monitoring. After last week being monitored for preeclampsia (and the results came back that I was fine). I had high blood pressure and swelling today they felt it was necessary and there was a likely hood of baby being delivered.
I went to Stony Brook for the afternoon and was hooked up to monitors, checked to see if I was dilated, had a sonogram and had blood and urine samples taken. I was there for about 4 hours and then released. I was not dilated and sono showed no distress.
The dr's decided to send me home and keep my scheduled c/s date and just put me on rest (out of work) now.
I was excited for the idea of Baby G coming and making sure we were both safe. So now that I am home I am relaxing and taking the next 10 days easy.
I was really happy with the way my office and Stony Brook handled my care.

My c/s is on 2/6 (10 days) whew!  I will be 39w3d.

I do plan on having some me time. I think my pug is going to love all the cuddling

good to hear!! at 32w i was sent to LIJ for monitoring for pre-e after my urine and 24hr urine came back high for protein. even though my BPs were OK, they admitted me for hospital bedrest because my amniotic fluid was low and baby was measuring two weeks behind. i did have pre-e and ended up developing HELLP syndrome and delivering 5 days later. the fact that they sent you home is a very good sign!! hope you get to meet baby soon!

Greg isn't a Giants fan, so I think he is a little happy, but if it was something big with Hockey... he would be relieved! LOL
