diaper rash + white heads?
my LO has diaper rash but with white heads--should i be concerned? we r treating it like regular diaper rash--any tips?

How many days has she had the rash? Are there satellite lesions around the rash? ( ie the rash is starting to extend past the diaper area?)

DD has the same thing, DH brought her to the doctor, it was most likely a reaction to something acidic (which I don't think is right, but whatever) and the white dots are a slight yeast infection. They gave us a prescription to put on.
We tried Lotrimin last night and that did not work by morning. We've had triple paste on her for the last day and half and it has only gotten worse.
(When I picked up the Lotrimin, the pharmacist said there was a father just there asking the same thing).

this is the 3rd day
no, it's just in the diaper area

What are u using on it? Has your child had diarrhea. Sounds like it could be fungal or yeast. If it persists past 5 days you might want to try an anti fungal, like monistat

Antifungals take a little time to work. I would make sure you apply the lotrimin, and then put triple paste on top of it. Make sure the skin is completely dry before applying anything, I would actually let your child air dry for a good 30 minutes each change for awhile. And avoid using wipes especially if they are scented.

DS gets this (minus the rash) a few days after a virus - little pimple looking things
