antonina is another option.
dh's mom passed away suddenly also when she was only 54, and if i have a , i also want to use her name as the middle name. i think it's so sweet and i'm sure he'd be honored.

So sorry for your loss. I lost my dad last year, and if i have a boy am planning on naming after him. I wasraised jewish so all my children will be named after someone who has passed. Aside from my dad, i am trying to change the names as they will probably be first names. My dad if it is a boy will get the middle name (i believe it willbetoo hard to look at my child and always think of him- even though he was an amazing person and someone id love for my son to grow up to be). Good luck. It will come to you. You will figure it out..

I really LOVE the name Antonia.
The only other options I can think of are Antonella and Antoinette.

Antonia is so close to his name and it is just a beautifl name!
