crib

What crib do you have/are you going to get? I am so confused about cribs. My sister is buying the crib for us, but I can't decide on one because don't know what is a good brand/crib?

I'm getting the Debby crib from Bellini. Seems like the mattress is more important though and it's firmness. I'm getting the mattress that Bellini offers as well.

Re: crib

For DS we had gotten this one:

Westwood Brookline

and this time around we ordered this one for DD (in white):

Bonavita Hudson Lifestyle

I chose both based on the reviews they got in Baby Bargains (both highly rated). I also liked that they converted from crib, to toddler bed, to full sized bed.

Re: crib

Thank you so much. I guess im just nervous about buying a crib. When I look in BRU its overwhelming and if the crib is not like super expensive I wonder if its a good crib or not. So confused.

Re: crib

We went with the Baby Cache sleigh crib from BRU. Like the PP mentioned, I used the Baby Bargains book to help narrow it down. There are soooo many choices, it can be overwhelming.

I bought the sorelle Verona that a lot of other ladies have on here. It's such great quality and rich looking. It wasn't rated as high in baby bargains but it looks like it had more to do with customer service than furniture quality.

Re: crib

Go to BBB and BRU and look at all of the cribs. That's what helped me to decide. Some that looked nice online felt like junk in person.

Re: crib

We got ours at Bellini (crb and mattress). They've been thru 2 kids so far and they've held up very nicely. Converts to toddler, to full.

We got all our furniture from BBB. Dor DD we got Baby Appleseed- Davenport. I love her furniture. It is so well made. We decided to go with Baby Appleseed again for this baby and are getting the Mullberry crib.

Re: crib

We went with a crib from JC Penney (the Olivia crib in expresso for our DS). It was a steal compared to other hardwood cribs. It got great reviews online and came with a metal springboard for the mattress which was important to me (we didn't want an MDF or pressboard holding up his mattress like many have). It was under $300, free shipping to the store and came within 1 week.

I highly recommend checking JC Penney. Just read the reviews of the items really well before choosing. We might be getting the same exact crib for baby #2, but we are also considering a mini crib because of space issues.

I highly recommend JCPENNYS as well. I did the Tori Savannah set and I love it! All three pieces were $900 which was great, free delivery and it's beautiful wood!
