Not the best way to ring in the New Year
I just found out my 104 year old great grandmother is dying  My sister talked to her earlier and my granny said she's scared  2011 really sucked.

My grandma died tonight too. They gave mine anti-anxiety meds to help her out.

My grandfather died about 40 years ago. His favorite holiday was New Year's Eve. For 40 years, my grandmother wouldn't celebrate NYE because my grandfather wasn't there to kiss at midnight.
She's been suffering from Alzheimer's for 6 years & we knew she had very little time left. I'm not sure if I believe in an afterlife but I couldn't have picked a more perfect night for her to pass. I'd like to imagine for the first time they'll be together.
I'm sorry for your loss too!

Hopefully she's at peace now and she can give her DH the kiss in heaven that she's been waiting for for 40 years I am so sorry for your loss
My great grandmother probably will hang on a couple more days, hopefully until my mom makes it there My heart breaks for her, she is as sharp as a 20 year old so she knows what's happening and she's really afraid.

104 years old though, good for her! I had my great-grandfather passed at 103 years old several years ago. I used to love hearing his stories.
