Please tell me this is not my hormones

For the second time, bc I said something once, my sil brought herself and kids over sick. I am 8 months preg, my dd is 16 months and my mom is undergoing chemo. Now my throat is a mess and dd is coughing, sneezing and has a runny nose. I don't want to cause a family war but I feel I have to say something. Of course I know I will be the wrong one bc she is never wrong....
Just needed to blow off steam...any advice wld be gr8!

I think she is wrong to bring her kids to you while either you or they are sick. No one will get better that way and you cannot afford to get any sicker. I do not think its your hormones.

Def not hormones! Even if you weren't preg it would still be very rude of her to bring herself and kids over sick. I would say something to her for sure!

Thanks. It happens all the time. I feel like if I say something it will be a prob. with the rest of the family and everyone sides with her all the time for some reason everyone feels bad for her for no apparent reason. I am not looking to cause a family war but she does this a lot!

I agree that it's not your hormones!!

When my sister (who lives OOS) comes to visit with her kids, one of them is ALWAYS sick and not a little sick -- it's usually an ear infection, sinus infection, bronchitis, getting over pneumonia. She doesn't metnion it until they're in my LR and I hear a cough or a sneeze -- then it's, "Oh, yeah, LO has a sinus infection -- you have Benadryl, right?"



I can add to the hormone thing, too, though -- today we had a Slomin's guy come to the house and I blamed my actions on hormones....he arrived 3 hrs late (maybe his fault), came just as I was doing naptime (not his fault), acted surprised by the job he was there to do (his fault), said he needed to re-schedule and come back another day/time because he didn't have the right equipment (his fault), asked my contractors for help and was annoyed they wouldn't help him (again, his fault). Looked at my belly and said, "Wow when are you due? You've got a lot to do before that kid gets here." Rude, but whatever. Then looks around my house (which is still under construction, dusty from sheetrock, messy from Thomas trains all over the front sitting room, a dirty-faced and cranky, crying 2yo screaming) and says, "I'm really OCD. Why don't you go clean up your house?" --
I said I thought he should leave and called him a moron on his way out. I'm hoping he doesn't come back when the appointment is re-scheduled....

Whoa, nevermind a pregnant woman and a young child but a woman undergoing chemo???? Does this woman understand the ramifications of a chemo patient becoming sick?? I would flip my lid! I'm so angry for you! rude! Rude! RUDE!

Yes that is what annoys me the most. If I get sick or my dd ok I get it, it happens but my mom she can't afford to have the germs around her...EHHH!

As for our hormones well you know what we deserve to act like this from time to time...some people just don't get it!

Who gives a poo about starting a family war... she and her husband need to be smacked into reality! What the heck is so hard about telling someone that person a is sick... or just not coming over.
Regardless of whether or not she'll think she's wrong, someone needs to tell her or her husband what's what.

I'm more than pizzed for you. My mom went through chemo and I would get my head handed to me if I ever brought a friend over sick ...
