Any asthma moms-to-be? - Updated in OP

Do you use your inhaler everyday or do you take a steroid treatment daily/weekly? Do you see a pulmonologist to manage your care or does your OB or midwife address it?

When I'm not pregnant, I have exercise and allergy-induced asthma that is easily managed by an occasional inhaler puff of albuterol. When I'm pregnant, it's full-blown asthma that can come out of nowhere but I usually hate using my inhalers. Of course I'll use them now that I need them because I don't want to deprive the baby of any oxygen/needs but just wondering if anyone else has this health concern?

Edited to add UPDATE Week 38:
So my visit to my primary in Dec had me only doing my rescue inhaler a few times per week and they didn't think I needed anything else. No daily treatment, no visit to pulmonologist, etc.
Fast forward to this week (week 38) and my asthma is the worst it's ever been. My midwife sent me to my primary and today they said I need to be seen by a lung specialist ASAP. Of course I couldn't get an appointment today so I'm going tomorrow but was wondering if you ladies had any experience/info on what I should expect?

The primary said he wants to get a good "baseline" and objective set of results. How can they obtain a baseline if I'm this far pregnant? Am I missing something?

After a bad few days while being sick 2 months ago, both my GP & my OB told me that I should go see a pulmonologist, but I haven't yet (I'm currently between docs). My GP put me back on Singulair daily, gave me a new script for Xoponex for my nebulizer & an inhaler that he said he felt more comfortable giving a pg woman (Ventolin HFA).

So far I've been a very bad patient...I know that it's important to manage asthma, especially when you're pg, but I don't like taking the pills if I don't need to & I keep forgetting to take my Singulair...I don't take it more often than I do take it. I've been taking it easy as much as I can & try not to aggravate it. I seem to use my inhaler a few times a week as needed & so far that's been enough.

I have/had infection onset asthma and was cleared safe to use my two inhalers (daily and a rescue) when pregnant with DS. My coughing fits were pretty severe and I felt like I was going to tear something so I felt better taking them.

I have not had an attack or need for inhalers in about two years and my allergist actually dropped the diagnosis so haven't had to worry about it this pregnancy.
