Looking for thoughts on a beach/sunset themed bridal shower
My sister loves the beach and sunsets. (Just like me.) We have decided to go with this theme for a bridal shower. There are only 3 of us paying for this shower, so I don't want to get crazy in cost. I have thought about using Hawaiian leis (is that how you sepll it?) as deocrations, because wearing them could be cheesy and itchy. I also thought about the favors being small frames with pictures of sunsets. That way they can be decorations on the tables and people can take them home and use the frame however they want.
Does this sound cheesy? Any other thoughts? TIA!

Not at all... my shower was very beachy too... my cake was a pair of flip flops... the favor was a bamboo matt with flipflops... it was at a place on the water... unfortunately it was in April so the weather was yucky lol...

I want so bad to get a great cake for her! She is a cake maker, so I don't want a sheet cake. I tried contacting the girl that is doing her wedding cake to see if I can get a shower cake, but she won't call me back. I hear she sucks at getting back to people, but it's been a month already. I am calling her one more time because I don't have many options in Florida.

My wedding was a sunset theme!  Everything was so beautiful! For favors we did orange, yellow, and red candy in glass jars. All my colors were yellow, orange, and persimmon! If you have any questions you can FM me!

my shower (and our wedding) was beach themed!
wishing well - toy box decorated with shells (like a treasure chest)
centerpieces - pails with beach designs and flowers in them
chair - beach chair for opening gifts
favor - my sister made coconut scented soaps in shapes of palm trees
decorations - mom bough a small canoe thing and made a collage on it of all our engagement pics which were taken on the beach
If you are baking the cake/cupcakes you can sprinkle light brown sugar on them and then get beach decorations

My shower was beach themed. My mom got a beach chair, which I sat in when I opened my gifts, and used a beach umbrella as the umbrella.
