What to take to increase breastmilk supply?Fenugreek Seed?
I read online there are herbs you can take to increase milk supply. Has anyone taken these with success?
Fenugreek Seed is the one I am seeing most...
Going to the ped tomorrow and plan on asking..thanks

Here's my suggestin wait until you're 3-4wks into it unless you are not making very much at all like less then 10-15oz a day. I say this because I was convinced my supply was to low and after spending, I kid you not, $100 a month on supps like fenegreek, blessed thistle, alfalfa, and milk cookies I was at the same freaking place. No change. I was ep so I started measuring what I was poumping and what she was eating...I found I was really pumping 35-40oz a day and she was only eating 22-28!!!!!!! It also took a good 2-3wks for me to have a good steady supply that didn't fluctuate. I'm all for increasing your suppy, but I am also for realizing you only have to feed 1 child. There is no reason to make to much. It'll just stress you out in the long run. Are you breastfeeding, ep, or what? That could also make a difference? How old is you dc again?

What makes you think that you aren't making enough? If DiamondBaby is pooping 5x or more a day, and gains 1-2 lbs a month, you're probably fine.
Ok, so to get back to your original question. I took 3 fenugreek 3x a day. Start with one, and work your way up to make sure neither one have a reaction. (It can make babies gassy and give Mom tummy issues).

I am pumping & supplementing w/formula bc I am not pumping enough for him yet. I am pumping @ 13oz a day...he is two weeks old today been pumping for a cple days less than that.

I say give it a week of pumping at least 8 times a day befor eyou take vitamins. Like I said I know they will work for some, but I also think it is also a mind game for some...like me. The vitamins really add up over time. Pump like crazy and try power pumping. It takes awhile to get a good supply going! I also found that pumping in the morning was the BEST time to get a lot of milk and I pumped 30min a time. It's a lot of work, but so worth it. Honestly the power pumping and sleep were what helped me the most!

Fenugreek, 3 pills 3 times a day. When you start smelling like syrup, it's working  I also drank Mother's Milk Tea.
Oatmeal and dark beer also help.

ITA! Pick up real, slow-cooking oatmeal and some dark beer. And drink a LOT of water - like 100 oz.

There's this liquid called Mother's Love. It is the most vile tasting thing ever.
I told the ped they call it Mother's Love because you really have to love your kid to willingly swallow that stuff. 
That being said, Fenugreek and Mother's Love did not work for me. They both got great reviews on drugstore.com though.

big time on the water- if I drink anything less than 100 oz, I get 1/2 what I can get.

I'm taking fenugreek right now. I don't think it worked, but since I spent the money on it I'll keep taking it until I run out. I know my supply wasn't good because DS was not gaining or pooping enough. And i pumped just to see --- after 20 min for both breasts i only had 2 oz. I ended up going with formula for DS.  I kinda had to anyway, considering he needed thickened liquids due to severe reflux. I still nurse him too, but he only seems to get a little during my let down and that's for 2 minutes max. It's more to pacify and bond. Good luck!
PS - Taking fenugreek caused me to get my period at 6 weeks PP!

Supply and demand...pump every 2-3 hours ... one being between 1-5am.yo at least 20% min a session
Breast compression and massage.
Water
Wait for the second let down to begin.

I do all this...tried dark beer, need to try real oatmeal. I am going to give it a few more days and I hope see an increase before I try fenugreek

you can also try more milk plus . it has fenugreek as well as other things. i found the drops more effective than the pills. it also makes you smell like syrup. it did boost my supply for a bit.

What pump are you using? The hospital grade ones that you can rent are the best to keep the milk flowing. I made the mistake of using a cheap one in the beginning and it didn't pump efficiently enough :(
