Talk to me about Boo at the Zoo
Mob scene or not?
We've done all our traditional Halloween things and this sounds cute.
Trying to figure out if it's worh the trip.
Thanks

Re: Talk to me about Boo at the Zoo
We are members of the zoo and go A LOT. Like 3 or 4 times a year, sometimes more. We went with friends the first weekend of October and it was NOT worth it. It was ridiculously crowded. The special stuff that they had for Boo at the Zoo (the maze, the haunted house, etc) we couldn't even do because the lines we so incredibly long. We have our route through the zoo down to a science because we go so much, but a lot of things we couldn't do because I didn't want to spend all day standing in line. The line for the monorail was backed up all the way to the camel rides, for example.
I know we're spoiled because we like to go on "off times" and aren't used to it being that packed. But I can tell you that it was crowded to the point that it really wasn't fun for the grownups, and the kids were disappointed that they couldn't do a lot of things.

Re: Talk to me about Boo at the Zoo
We also are members and go a few times a year. We went this weekend, Boo at the Zoo was going on. It was crazy! The parking lost were just about full when we got there at 10:30. We usually go on the bug caroel a few times over and over... this weekend we waited like 15-20 mins to go once.

Re: Talk to me about Boo at the Zoo
We went 2 weeks ago for the 3 day weekend. We unfortunately picked Sunday when it was 84 out. It was a mob scene - we felt that it was worse than our trips to disney. We had several friends who went the day before and said it was quiet until about 2. We go to the zoo all the time and it is not usually like that so I think it was because people too off for the 3 day weekend and with the beautiful weather more people decided to go than usual. We went last year and it was the normal zoo weekend crowds.
I suggest if you want to do things like the hay ride you get in line about 15 mins before it starts (11) and then head for things like Dora 4D or the monorail 1st b.c they can get the most crowded.
The girls always enjoy Boo at the Zoo so if you can swing it I would definitely try to go.

Re: Talk to me about Boo at the Zoo
We went on Saturday. It was crowded, but I didn't think it was too much worse than a summer day with all the camp kids. We are members, and they were only letting members park in Lot B, so even parking wasn't bad when I got there (around 11:30). Like others have said, if you're going to go, I would go early.
