God, even the commericials for this movie used to freak me out! But of course I had to see it- and then I didn't sleep for months!
I still get freaked thinking about it.
OMG, this scared the BEJESUS outta me!!!!!!
Insidious scared me pretty bad, too!

As a child, my dad used to force us to watch horror movies. I've been scarred forever by this.
But the one that really traumatized me was Poltergeist. All of it.
Not a traditional "scary" movie but I can't deal with War of the Worlds. I had serious nightmares after renting that a few years back.

No offense, but what kind of father would force his children to watch scary moves? Why did he do that?
The answer: A VERY abusive one.
He'd make us sit there and watch things like "The Blob", "Invasion of the Body Snatchers", etc. I can't watch horror movies ever!

the first Saw (after that they got dumb)
When a Stranger Calls
He Knows You're Alone (obscure movie from the 70's- they used to actually play it on Channel 5 or 11 when I was kid- during the day on the weekend- scared the CR@P out of me)
I also LOVE Rosemary's Baby- just the whole atmosphere of that movie is creepy and cool!

I cannot watch these movies ever again bc they seriously give me nightmares and haunted me:
The Exorcist, or any movie that has to do with a demon possessing someone.
