spotting in the beginning of pregnancy?

hi ladies. i got an unexpected BFP yesterday. I have been spotting since last friday on and off.(dark brown) i am so nervous now since i read about miscarriages, ectopic pregnancies. anyhow i called my ob to schedule an appt and they scheduled me oct 6. i told them ive been spotting on and off ; the receptionist said the nurse would call me after lunch to discuss. etc. instead i get a call from another ob in the practice within 20 minutes asking me to come in either tomorrow or sometime next week to rule out miscarriage or ectopic pregnancy. Ofcourse I'm flipping out now so nervous. this is baby#2 for me and with #1 i had no spotting.
I also had a LEEP procedure mid June. NOt sure if anyone experienced anything like this but if so please calm me down

my appt is 9am tomorrow

its relatively common- i had it too. they will likely test your beta levels tomorrow and test them again in a couple of days to check that they're rising. GL

Its pretty normal to bleed during early pregnancy and since you say the blood is brown it sounds like its old blood. Could be nothing

With my son, I bled the entire first trimester. I hope everything is ok for you too!

I spotted with DD during weeks 9 and 10 and it was nothing.

I spotted in early pregnancy and I am now 19 weeks . As long as it is not accompanied with cramps and brown it is pretty normal (still scary, but normal). Try to relax and not think too much about bad things. Remember that Google is the DEVIL so stay away (easier said then done, I know). Just think how exiting it will be that you will see your LO tommorrow.

I had spotting all through the first trimester... and still occassionally in the 2nd. When I was about 6 weeks, I had bright red blood... and everything was fine. I'm 24 weeks now. They never found any cause for the spotting...
This is my second pregnancy also... and I never had any spotting with #1. DS was only 6 months old when I got pg with #2. He was a c-section. I wonder if that has anything to do with it.

Just try to relax and enjoy this time.

Welcome back I am sure everything is fine. Alot of girls have spotting. I had a light brown discharge (sorry for the tmi) from week 8 to 10 and when i told the dr he wasnt concerned at all. I am now almost 17 weeks along.

I had brown spotting/discharge at about 5.5 weeks and again last week at 11 weeks. Both time I went in for sonos and both times everyhting was fine. Like others have said brown spotting is fairly normal and usually is just old blood. Good luck!
