recommend your baby carrier for older babies
I currently have the baby bjorn which I am not a fan of. My DD doesn't really like it anymore - I don't think she is comfy the way she hangs in it. And I find that it really hurts my back and she is only 17.5lbs. I would like to get a new carrier that she is able to "sit" in more instead of hang and that will accomodate a heavier baby without putting too much pressure on my back and shoulders. I am looking at the ergo, but wanted to get some advice from others.
Thanks!

I have the Ergo and my babies are about 18 lbs and it does not hurt my back at all....my only complaint is we both get a little hot while wearing it.

Thanks! Good to know about the "heat" factor. It looked a little bulky in pics.
any other recommendations?

I love my pikkolo and with the carrier belt, it can accomodate a child up to 45 lbs. Heres a good comparison guide for you to look at between some of the carriers.

Thanks! I hadn't heard about the Pikkolo, but I think I might go with that one. That site was very helpful.
Did you find it difficult at first to get used to putting it on and getting teh baby in?

LOVE my ergo, I put my 13lb DD in it all the time. I have the ergo sport, so it is much lighter than the original ergo and also has an air vent, which really helps with getting too hot. I used to use it with my twins too when they were around a year old, I'd use the back carry.
