Re: How many times does your potty-trained child get up at night to pee?
Never. She goes to sleep with a sippy of water next to her bed in case she gets thirsty, but she usually forgets about it. She'll have an accident once in a while, but very rare....

Re: How many times does your potty-trained child get up at night to pee?
DS is going to be 4 next month and has been potty trained since he is 3 but at night he still wears pull-ups and fills it up. I know he is not ready yet.

Re: How many times does your potty-trained child get up at night to pee?
My kids never got up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom. Well, maybe a few times, but its not a regular thing. We cut out all liquids after 9pm (my kids are up to 10:30-11)

Re: How many times does your potty-trained child get up at night to pee?
Never. When he first started training he was having accidents very often. I cut down on his fluids a lot and it stopped.
I let him drink whatever he wants all day, with dinner (between 5&6) he gets a glass of milk, and 6oz of milk before bed... That's it.
ETA: He's in bed by 8:30/9.

Re: How many times does your potty-trained child get up at night to pee?
The first day he started going pee pee in the potty (a little before 2.5) he decided that he could only go on the potty and refused to go in the pull up even at night. The first 2.5 wks we were up at least 1-2 times per night. Then it changed and he started holding it. Since then, on a normal night he does not wake up at all to go to the bathroom and he does drink about 3-4 oz of milk right before bed. Since the time he started doing this (it has been well over a year) he has only had two accidents and, both times, he was sick with a fever. IF he wakes up in the middle of the night for whatever reason, then he usually does have to go to the bathroom as well.

Re: How many times does your potty-trained child get up at night to pee?
he still wears pull-ups at night and he is 4.
We make him pee before he goes to bed and then we usually get him up around midnight to go again. Usually he wakes up dry. If we don't get him up at midnight he will be soaked through his clothes by morning. Sometimes he is already soaked by midnight.
He's not ready yet.

Re: How many times does your potty-trained child get up at night to pee?
Never - DD only got up maybe 4 times total (one time a night when she did wake) the 1st month she trained (she got rid of her nite pull ups within 5 days of being day trained). I think it just took us a little while to figure out how much she could drink before bed without having issues. She never wakes up now.
Honestly I think night training has more to do physically with the size of their bladder etc than it does with training in general.
Does your DD go right before she gets into bed even if she goes a little bit earlier? We stop drinks 1.5 hours before bed - and only 2-3 sips if needed after that. She might just not be ready to go through the night. I think my ped said that there are many 4 and 5's that still wake b.c their bodies just aren't ready to go all night yet.

Re: How many times does your potty-trained child get up at night to pee?
DD is four and wakes me up to take her to the bathroom about twice a week. More of an annoyance lately is her needing to use it multiple times when trying to put off going to sleep. I feel like I cannot get too mad though b/c she seems to go on every trip.

Re: How many times does your potty-trained child get up at night to pee?
DS will be 4 in September and he has been potty trained for a year or so but overnight always was his strong point. He was better at night then during the day during the training so I can count on my fingers how many times he has had an overnight accident but the times he has, it was because I let him drink too close to bedtime and he slept through the accident. Unfortunately you might have to find a way to cut off the liquids, not 2 hours before... maybe an hour or 45 minutes and make sure they go right before laying down. Good luck!

never..
you need to cut off the liquids before bedtime.. that's the only way that'll stop the accidents.. once she has it mastered, then you can let her have some closer to her bedtime
M, I do this and we are still having accidents. She knows enough to GET up after she pees cause she wets and comes to our bed but wont get up to PEE in bathroom!

Re: How many times does your potty-trained child get up at night to pee?
DD is 4 and has been potty trained for over a year. She occassionally gets up once in the night to go potty. Early on she would sleep through accidents. Now if she has one, it's in the bathroom because she waited too long to get up and go.
