Girlfriend weekends...
My friends have finally decided to make this an annual event. Does anyone have any ideas, recommendations, destinations...we really have no idea how to start this.

It's pretty easy - decide on the type of vacation and budget then start doing some research. Places I have been with the girls include Vegas, Memphis, Lake George, Atlantic City, Bahamas, Bermuda, Puerto Rico, Key West..

My girls and I do a NYC weekend every year. It's the easiest for all of us and we never get bored. We always do the same weekend every year so we all know know to plan anything for the 2nd weekend in March.
We've done: spas, shows, dinner, museums, sightseeing (yes even though we all grew up here - we do the tourist thing like Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, etc.)
This year we're actually heading to FL for a long weekend at the beach.

for weekend getaways vegas, atlantic city, wildwood, manhattan, ocean city, charleston would all be good locations.

The girlfriends I go wtih are OOT so we've done a number of different locations:
Memphis
Myrtle Beach
Chicago
Philadelphia
Washington DC
Baltimore
Milwaukee
and this year Nashville...
We started doing trips back in 2000 and have done something each year. Many of the years though were wedding years so we just got together at someone's house/apartment.
Other places/things on our list:
Short cruise from Florida
New Orleans
Savannah
Charleston
San Antonio
Boston
Bar Harbor, ME
Newport, RI

we've done puerto rico, cancun, miami, atlantic city (mostly for bachelorette parties)
i was just in newport with DH and i think it would be cute with girlfriends too.

My GFs and I went to Ocean City, MD during the summer of 2009 and 2011 and had a great time both times. We rented a condo through ColdWell Bankers - $180 pp Friday-Monday.

we just had a girls trip to AC last weekend. We drove down, spent the day at the beach, then hit the rooftop pool at The Chelsea where we stayed, then showered and went to dinner at Carmines in the Tropicana, then partied it up at the club in the Chelsea. The next day we layed out by the pool for a while before we headed back home. It was perfect. A short trip but nice since some of us have kids and dont want to be away from our families for too long
