ok ladies i could use some help decorating...

i already have furniture we are using for the baby with the exception of the crib. it was my furniture as a teen and its in amazin condition and saves us some $.... problem is trying to match

im crazy and like things to be matchy matchy but i dont love anything in the natural wood color... so here are my 2 options.. settle for something in natural wood so it matches or get a white crib with the natural wood dresser/changing table.

this is what my furniture looks like.
( please excuse the disaster ontop and around the dresser its in our storage room Chat Icon Chat Icon )

Re: ok ladies i could use some help decorating...

With DD, I had a natural/blond wood dresser that was in her room that we were going to reuse. I also had a large white book case. I couldn't find any wood cribs I liked, and I was team green-- so ultimately I got a red crib and it looked pretty good! Now that she's 2.5 and we've moved, I am starting to look for new furniture for her in white to go with her big girl room.

I would get the white crib and then paint the dresser you have in white and add nice crystal knobs to them.. it'll look beautifull maybe even some decorative accents to it as well

I thought about that but its not possible. It's not real wood furniture its formica. So painting is not a possibility.

ITA! I love the white crib,,,and this would be awesome!!!!!!!! Seems like you want white for DD, so that's what I'd go for Chat Icon

ETA Ooops sorry didn't read your formica post...but either way I'd still go w/the white! I think the color of the dresser is light enough that it goes nicely!

I would get the white crib and paint the dresser white as well.

Here is a link on how to paint over formica. Sounds easy enough

I would actually go with the white because if the natural wood doesn't match perfectly its going to look worse like you tried to match it and you didn't. if you get white, its known you weren't trying to match it
