Stretch Marks
My cousin is pregnant and was asking me if I knew of anything that would work well to help prevent stretch marks or at least make them not as bad. I have heard mederma, vitamin E oil and many others. What do you ladies think works the best? TIA

Re: Stretch Marks
good genes! I used cocoa butter with shea lotion 2x's a day and I still got them. I think it's just what we are genetically pre disposed of.

Re: Stretch Marks
ita with above. from everything I have read it is really a genetic thing. I still use cocoa butter every day bc I figure it can't hurt....so far I don't have any but I have heard they come out later so I am sure I will still get some.

Re: Stretch Marks
Im a firm believer that its all in your genes.
I do all I can to help, but in the end, if its going to happen, its going to happen.

It's true - BUT I didn't notice them until last week and they aren't horrific. So maybe the lotion helped lessen the appearance.

Yeah its mostly genetic, BUT I read that dry skin is less elastic and more prone to stretch marks. If you are going to get them anyway, maybe the cocoa butter helps lessen what they WOULD look like
