Trouble figuring out my OB situation. Help!
Hello everyone! I'm new to this site so I really hope I can get some assistance with an issue I'm currently having with trying to figure out my OB situation.
On a brighter note, I recently found out last month that was I pregnant! I found out duirng my yearly checkup with my gyno in Manhattan and for the past month I've been going in to get my sonograms to figure out the age of the embryo. So now I know for sure I'm at the 7 week mark and my GYNO told me that it's time I start finding an OB. But this is my problem:
I live in the Long Beach area but work in Manhattan. I don't have a car since my commute to work is fairly easy and having a car hasn't been a necessity for me. DH has one but he uses it for business most of time. So, since I want to find an OB here on Long Island, since I'll be having the baby on Long Island, how am I to find an OB that fits within my tight schedule?
I'm just so confused right now because I leave for work at 7am and don't get home till 7pm. My DH has his own business so his hours are continuously random so I can't rely on him perse in regards to him driving me to the doctors and back. So what should I do? Does anyone know of any good OBs in the Long Beach area or if any OBs nearby have afterwork hours (like till 9pm or so)? Seriously, any insight will be much appreciated since I'm so new to all of this!!

Sorry, I dont know your area. Is your GYNO able to recommend someone for you? I know my OB has saturday appointments. Maybe you can find someone who has weekend availablity for you.

That is a tough situation. Like the PP said, maybe you can find someone who has Saturday appts or you may have to take the latest appt they have and leave work early. Is that a possibility, to leave work early?

There is a Dr. Solomon in Long Beach that I have heard of. I don't know much about her but she is close to you and maybe she has weekend hours.

crashing... my gyn is also an ob and she has offices in both rockville centre and oceanside. i know she has late nights one night a week in rockville centre so she might have them in oceanside too. her name is dr. polina kagan

Crashing here. As far as I've heard, Dr. Solomon sold the practice (even though it still says her name on the building.) She has cancer
