what was your DH's reaction?

I had to wake my dh up and tell him about my BFP and he rolled over and said "oh goodie" can't wait to write that one down in the baby book.

My DH was with me during my 2ww and everyday after work he would ask me if I was pregnant yet. LOL
When we finally found out he gave me a big hug and we danced

"About time" was what i got and then he started questioning the test amd made me take 3 more to be sure....LOL!

The first time he was in disbelief because the line was very faint and it was our first month of trying and we barely tried so we were both kind of in shock.

This time I didn't even want to look at the test. It was our 4th month of trying after a loss and I thought I'd never get pregnant again. We were both in the bathroom but he checked the test. Next thing I knew he was yelling, I was in the air and he was spinning me around and hugging me. It was amazing. We were both so happy. He was so ecstatic. It was also his birthday and it was all he wanted so it was a really special moment especially after all that we have been through.

He was surprised/shocked in a good way though. I didn't even tell him we were TTC'ing
We both knew we wanted another dc and we wanted them close anyway.

Both times I made a really nice dinner and sat down across from him and casually added "I'm pregnant" to our evening conversation the second time I think he almost didn't believe me.

dh said "oh" and was happy but reserved because i found out so early (4wks). he wanted me to go to my ob and make sure before getting his hopes up

he was very hesitant to get excited... he didn't believe it at first because the bfp line wasn't "the same color as the other line"

With this pregnancy I woke DH up at 3:30 in the morning. When he looked at the pregnancy test he said "how did that happen?" I was peeing in my pants from his reaction

my DH was sleeping I woke him up to tell him and he said are you sure..I said yes showed him the test he turns around and ok call the dr and rolled over and went back to sleep

The 2nd time he just figured it out I never got a chance to tell him ha ha

I'm very happy that I recorded DH's reaction on video. He stared down at the tests with his mouth wide open, then said "Is that why you took it twice?" and I said yes and started to cry and he just got off the bed and hugged me and got a little misty eyed himself. It was quite a moment.

With DS, we werent trying and we had only been married for 4 months. He didnt say anything and all the color just drained from his face.

This time, we were trying and I found out while I was on vacay with some girlfriends, so I called him and he yelled "get out of here!!"

I gave dh a box wrapped with two Rangers onesies, two bibs (one boy, one girl) that said "I love my daddy" a book called Quarterback Dad, and the positive test in a ziplock bag. I wrapped it in Christmas paper and told him I forgot I ordered him something for Christmas and it was backordered and just came in (Dec. 28th). Let's just say he did this in the following order: with a few tears in there! It was priceless!

he could tell from the "woohoo" i shouted from the bathroom. so he came up and was like "really? ALRIGHT!" ::HIGH FIVE::

He said.. "Really? Wow! Congratulations!" And a hug. He didn't want me or him to get our hopes up bc the lines were so light.

with #1 (I was ovulating for the first time in months, we threw caution to the wind one night and weren't careful on our 1st anniversary and it worked!). I tested after he'd left for work, so i had to hold the secret all day. Later that day, I took a digital and hid it (in a plastic bag) in a high kitchen cabinet. I was cooking dinner and asked him to come help me reach something in the kitchen. He huffed and got irritated that i made him get off the couch instead of getting a chair, like i usually do, but pulled out the test and said, "w t fff is this? really? you're pregnant? holy $&*%!!!" grabbed me, hugged me, we jumped up and down. I later learned that he got a little silly/goofy because he was on the verge of tears. I got the whole thing on video (i had hidden a camera on the other side of the kitchen), but no one but us has ever seen it bc of the expletives.

with #2 (completely and totally unexpected). We were watching a movie one night after dinner. He was pouring himself a glass of diet coke and brought me one too. I said, "i don't really think i should have this..."
Him: "Why, you have a stomachache or something?"
Me: "Um, no....[deep breath]...i think i'm pregnant."
Him: "ha ha ha very funny [eyeroll]"
Me: [burst into tears as i pulled 4 dollar store tests out of my bathrobe pocket and laid them on the coffee table]
Him: What?! Really?! Is this a joke?! How?
Me: [sobs]
Him: Oh my GOD, did you go to the Dr? How far along? [grabs tests for further inspection]
Me: [sobs]
Then he hugged me, LAUGHED at me, told me everything was going to be alright, and said "I win". He always wanted 2 kids, I was happy with 1.

It was the one night of the year DH works overnight. I took the test because I thought I had a UTI and planned to call th dr. in the morning but didn't want to look dumb if I were pregnant instead. And sure enough! I had to tell him over the phone and he just laughed in shock. The next day he asked me to take another digital so he could see it happen in person.

I tested so early (10dpo) and got a very faint line. He was in bed w/104 fever. He did not think it was true and did not want me to get my hopes up so he was worried about that. The next day when I had the digitial saying 'PREGNANT" he was thrilled.

DH and I looked at the test results at the same time. I went into the bathroom to do my business (used a digital). Called him in when I was finished. He sat on the ledge of the tub, I sat on the toilet and we held hands for those long 3 minutes. I was shaking waiting in anticipation. Then we go up together and looked at the test that was on the counter. We hugged and laughed, kissed, I was crying a bit so he was trying to tell me to calm down lol. Then he grabbed the camera and we took a pic together and of the BFP. He said he had a feeling I was pg since I was having a few symptoms.

well we weren't trying to get pregnant, it sort of just happened, so he works nights & he was sleeping when I took the test.
I came out of the bathroom and said "OMG babe, we're going to have a baby"
he just rolled over & told me to go back to bed.

It was with a huge smile and I got a kiss!

My husband said it was just something I ate ... I took 7 tests including 2 digital all positive but he didn't believe until we got to the doctor's at 5 weeks and saw the flicker of a heart beat on the sono.
