3D, 4D sonos......
How many weeks do you have to be to go for one of these? I mean the one you pay for where they give you all those pictures?

I think you can really go at any point but I have been told that it is best to go after 28 weeks because that is when the baby has more fat on them and you can truly see how their features will look.

Re: 3D, 4D sonos......
my tech switched over at 27/28 weeks and she looked cute.
when I was at winthrop for my CVS/amnio (12 and 15/16 weeks) they said that it's best to wait for third trimester, b/c the 3D makes it look like a Halloween movie!

Re: 3D, 4D sonos......
the sign in the OB's office says about 28 to 34 weeks. I tend to memorize the posters in the OB's office while waiting to be examined.
I didn't pay. My OB's sonogram can do 3D and he's given me some pics b4. It's a bit weird to see it. I know for the ones you pay for they're longer and you get a CD. I was happy with the few minutes of it. Pretty cool, but JMO I wouldn't pay.

Yea I really didnt want to have to pay for this but my doctor's office doesnt have a great machine and I havent been able to get any really good pictures yet. I am still contemplating whether or not I want to pay for the 3D.

I was thinking about this. Not sure if I want to get this done. Does anyone know how much it costs?

It depends on the place you go to and the package you want to get. From what I have seen they can start at $120+. A lot of the places that do them (i.e. impact and womb pics) have the prices on their websites.

My doctor's office does it for $200...I wonder ...is there other places that you can go to just for 3d pics even if you are not their regular patient (that do it for less than $200?!)
