Movement at 36 weeks
I mostly feel the baby moving at night when I relax and lie down, but my doctor told me I should be feeling the baby 5 times an hour at this point. I definitely don't feel her that much.
What has everyone else felt around this point in pregnancy?

I’m 36 weeks and now I feel like DS has slowed down in movement a bit. He is already in position and every now and then I will feel movement by my boobs during the day. But I do feel more movement at night.

Re: Movement at 36 weeks
at 36 weeks, movement slowed down a lot. No more "elbow drags". Mostly kicks now.

Re: Movement at 36 weeks
I am 35.5 weeks and I have never felt the baby move 5 times an hour. I have an anterior placenta though. I feel some movement in the daytime only. It feels like the feet are pushing out. I rarely feel movement in the evening or at night.

Re: Movement at 36 weeks
I have to do fetal kick counts every night (baby has to kick 10 times in two hours) and get weekly non stress tests that monitor the baby's movement, heart rate, and any contractions I might be having. I told them there's no way the baby kicks 10 times in 2 hours. I barely feel him or her all day. They told me that's because during the day you are focused on other things and up and about, but if you were to relax like you do at night you'd notice the movements before. And let me tell you, I never have trouble getting 10 kicks in within 2 hours - it's usually about 10 minutes!
Also, because the baby has less room to move around, you might not feel it as much.

Re: Movement at 36 weeks
36 weeks here and movement has definetly decreased since 22 weeks... and during the day she hardly moves, it is mostly when I'm laying down for bed. I asked my doctor and he said that's normal so I don't worry about it too much.

Re: Movement at 36 weeks
I'd go menatally insane if I go by that 5 kick an hour rule. 38 weeks here & the movement has slowed down quite a bit at this point. I feel her kick when Im reclined on the couch or laying down.

Re: Movement at 36 weeks
same, i only feel the movement if i'm reclined OR leaning forward. Leaning forward while sitting (like when i'm peeing) seems to irritate him, he always jabs me in the ribs. he probably gets squished in there!
