fetal echo/level 2 - UDPATE
i just had my repeat level 2, because last week baby didn't roll over.. again same thing today.. OJ, pastry, walking.. baby didn't roll over.. anyone have this issue or go through with this? worrying the crap out of me.. the tech said its common, but idk..
now i have a fetal echo scheduled for this afternoon.. what do they do for this? i'm so scared..

Just got back from my fetal echo.. and everything by the grace of God is great. And of course, all the hoopla later, baby had flipped on its on. Had the baby done this earlier this morning, I could have saved myself and my family from a lot of stress. Anyway, everything looks good.. and I just got home. Thank God..
The procedure was just like any other sono and just added bonus, I got my first 3D image. My stubborn little baby..

Re: fetal echo/level 2
Are you seeing the baby moving at all, or it just isn't in a good spot?
Last night mine was moving like crazy but we were talking to the tech and she said it's very common for people to have to come back.

Re: fetal echo/level 2
the baby is moving around.. just not rolling over.. the baby is kicking, squirming, moving arms, doing a partial flip and back to belly.. hb sounds great.. but will not roll over.. i walked, peed, drank OJ.. did nothing..
so the tech said, just get a fetal echo done.. since they couldn't get to see the heart in the anterior view.. everything else is fine..

Re: fetal echo/level 2
I had a fetal echo, it's just a sonogram. Since they couldn't see the anatomy of the heart they just want to make sure it's working properly. It's quick and painless, just like any other sonogram.

Re: fetal echo/level 2
One of my kids (can't remember which) wouldn't move so the tech could get a picture of the heart. We had to go back to just get the 4 chambers of the heart another day.

Re: fetal echo/level 2
I had a fetal echo done because of my diabetes. It was not a pleasant experience. It is just like any other sono. However, I had mine done at either 20 or 21 weeks and the doctor said the baby might have a VSD hole in it's heart - he couldn't be sure because the baby was still too small. So I have to wait FOUR weeks to go back and see if everything was ok. In the end, everything was fine and the baby has a healthy heart, but having to wait 4 weeks to find that out was torture.
Good luck!

Re: fetal echo/level 2
I know it is easier said then done, but since the baby is moving all around I wouldn't worry too much. Take it as another chance to see DC!

Re: fetal echo/level 2
I had to go back one time b/c the baby moved too much the first time to get heart views. First, 3 other people had the same problem the same day. 2nd, when I went back, I had a diff. tech who was very patient, and had no problems getting the pictures. Good luck!

Re: fetal echo/level 2 - UDPATE
bump..
thanks everyone.. I was just scared $hitless to say the least.. I couldn't figure out why the baby just wouldn't flip.. well he/she did.. and only when he/she felt like it.. no one will be bullying my kid to do anything. Not even momma pleading with sugar and candy..
