Lots of prayers for you. Tell them to bring the shower to you! It stinks that you are going to miss your shower but if it's what you need to do, then theres no use getting all upset about it.
tons of at 32w i was put in the hospital and missed my baby shower and delivered at 33w. my baby was tiny and spent 3.5 weeks in the NICU but she's home now and she's perfect!! good luck to you!! FM if u hae any questions or want to chat/vent!!
I'm so sorry you're going through this. I've been on bedrest for preterm labor and shortened cervix, so I know how much it sucks. That must have been such a scary situation you went through.
thanks so much everyone...i posted an uodate at the top... it really means alot to have so much support, especially from moms to be and those that have gone through similar situations. Helps DH and I from thinking we are the only ones who are/have gone through it!
Its been tough but we are making the best of it. My parents and DH have been rotating and visiting everyday. But honestly its amazing to see who your true friends are....
I'm sorry you missed your shower... I know everyone says that it's not important compared to the big picture... and it's not... but it still sucks.
So, you're now 34 weeks? My doc has that as his "goal" week where he will let me out more. Apparently, developmentally, 34 weeks is an important milestone. I will be 34 weeks on Friday.
Of course, we all want to at least get to 37 or so, so I pray that that happens for both of us!
The boredom truly sucks being on bed rest - and I can't imagine it's any better in a hospital. I'm really bordering on getting depressed here at home! Thank God for this site! I'm glad you have communication with the outside world!
Continued good thoughts and prayers. I have to tell you that my heart melted when I read that your DH attended your shower for you. That had to have been SO special for him.
