I like that idea.
Unless she is a Nanny FT and deals with infants daily, I am not sure how much experience she has to share.

i agree! you're saying no, but in a nice way, so it works. that's really annoying though. i know people who are like that too.

I would say, "ugh, I am so done debating the registry - it's perfect for me!"
And the opposite, I had friends pester me to review their registries and then when I gave advice then changed not one thing one friend had every large item in pink for her first baby and now, having a boy and nothing neutral (and now she says I was right )
I'd def. go with thanks, but no thanks!

i obviously don't know the history with you and your SIL, but you could always just say sure (to keep the peace) and if you don't like anything she says, you certainly don't have to act on it.
She may have something useful you didn't think of, you never know.

thanks girls! if this was just out of nowhere i would have listened to her suggestions no problem. However, this comes after weeks of her complaining about everything having to do with my shower, where we are registered, and anything else she could possibly complain about. I just honestly don't want to hear anything else she has to say.
I wrote back "Thank you, but I went over it with my sister and got some advice from twin moms so I think I am all set"
i thought it was a polite way to say thanks, but no thanks. Of course I got a snotty response back....oh well I can't win
