Travel w/out kids

DH is turning 40 in November and my mom, MIL and SIL offered to watch the kids so we can go away for a long weekend. I was literally a second away from booking Florida and I chickened out! Chat Icon
I have never gone away without the kids and am wondering if i should plan a trip in driving distance or just go for it.

Do it! Of course you will miss them but all the fun you will have will make up for it, it will be SO good for you and DH, and your kids will have fun getting spoiled.

It's just a weekend right?

Honestly, I don't think it matters if you fly or drive. Whatever you're most comfortable with. It's the GETTING AWAY part that's the most important!! Chat Icon Chat Icon

Go for it! You and DH need some time away and I'm sure the kids will love being with grandma and getting spoiled.

go for it! it honestly doesn`t matter where you go! You need the time away. DH & I went to the DR in October with DH`s job & at the time my boys were little (13 months & 2.5 months) it was the best time away Now DH & I are going to Bermuda in Nov again with his job

ITA...we started with a weekend in AC and now five years later we are going on a 5-day cruise. It gets easier to leave them and they honestly love being with my in-laws. It's a fun vacation for them too.

we went to texas for a wedding when DS was 11mo and even though it was hard for me since it was my first time away from him, it was a great little vacation. And i got to STTN both nights i was there Chat Icon
