 Cautiously Joining
I miscarried 6 months ago and I just found out a few days ago that I'm pregnant again.
I just received my second beta result which was drawn on Saturday. It was a LONG two days of waiting for the result My first beta was done last Thursday and it was 259 (I'm pretty sure I was 15dpo max). This Saturday, 48 hours later, it was 695, so it more than doubled! My progesterone was also checked during my first beta and it was 54.1 and I was told that was great too.
They said everything looks good for now as far as hormones go but no sex until the first trimester is over because it can cause spotting and they want me to remain calm. I go for my first sonogram in a month and I should be about 9 weeks by then. I don't know how I will make it? Waiting for the beta results was torture, now an entire month of just waiting? Seriously
I am trying to stay calm but after losing a I'm a wreck. I'm cautiously introducing myself and hoping I will be here for the long haul.
Any advice on how to stay relaxed?

First, congratulations!
What I did to stay relaxed in the beginning was read. I read a lot of books. It's also gorgeous out, take walks, hang with friends, and eat! <-----coming from a very hungry preggo woman!
  How exciting!

Congrats!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think is normal to be weary and nervous, just don't let it get the best of you. Enjoy your BFP and the fact that there is a LO growing inside you . What's worked for me is reading, movies, napping, and just thinking positive. I hope you have a happy and healthy 9 months

 Re: Cautiously Joining
Congratulations and welcome back. I was here when you were. And I'm still here.
I know the feeling of being nervous and just really freaked out that something might go wrong. I def felt the same way. I had a mc and so the innocence of it all is taken away. As you reach each milestone though, it does get better. For me, the fear has never totally dissipated but it definitely minimized.
Hopefully these next 4 weeks will FLY by for you and you will see the flicker of that little heartbeat in no time!!
  Good Luck with everything!!!

Congratulations!!!
No advice from me, I was a nervous wreck the entire first trimester, but just try and do whatever keeps you calm - soothing music, relax as much as possible, etc.
Wishing you a happy, healthy 9 months!!!

 Re: Cautiously Joining
CONGRATS!!
I had two miscarriages before this pregnancy, so I understand your worry! I would ask if you could get an ultrasound a little earlier. You could see a heartbeat at 6 weeks, and that might help ease your anxiety.
HUgs and prayers that all is well. STICK BABY STICK!!

 Re: Cautiously Joining
Congrats and welcome back!! I have no real advise other than try to relax and stay positive. The girls gave some great ideas on things to keep you busy. But I agree, is there any way they can get you in sooner for a sono based on your history? Happy and healthy 9 months to you!!

Same here with the very minor symptoms. I'm between 4-5 weeks and I just have sore breasts and I'm a little more tired at night but so far that is it. I'm waiting and hoping for lots of morning sickness

 Re: Cautiously Joining
Jax/MissingLI, I could have opted to have a sono at either 6 weeks or 8 weeks but not both (I'm not really sure why but I only get one sono in the first trimester plus the NT Scan at 12 weeks).
We decided to try and hold out longer for the sono. My appointment should put me right around 9 weeks and I rather see the baby at that point because if everything looks good at the sono I'll be further along than I got last pregnancy. With the last pregnancy we saw a heartbeat at 6 weeks but the baby was lost somewhere between 7.5 and 8.5 weeks. Luckily I saw a specialist around 9 weeks and had a sono that revealed a missed miscarriage, otherwise I wouldn't have known. So I rather wait as hard as it is.
My betas were good and the second one more than doubled in 48 hours and my progesterone was in the higher range also so I was told at this point things look as good as they can and no reason to worry for now.
It's hard though. They told me if I start to freak out at any point and I think something is wrong I can go for a sonogram to check on things but I want to try and hold out.
I just have some anxiety which I'm trying to control because I know it's not good for the
