toy box
Hello! I want to get a toy box to complete the nursery. I want an espresso colored one to match the furniture. Does anyone know of a good place to get one? Anything on route 110? I am willing to buy online but would prefer to see it in person. Thanks!

Re: toy box
I looked long & hard for toy boxes. My recs... If you really want a piece of furniture, get something from gothic cabinet craft. They have nice toy boxes & will stain them any color you want. Their price is reasonable.
After looking for a LONG time, I ended up getting fabric toy boxes (maybe called storage bins) with handles & the box collapses. DS has been able to select toys to play with from 7 months of age... there are no moving parts that could pinch fingers. You have to keep the toys under control (we have a box in the living room, one at my parents' house and one in the dining room)... but I LOVE them and they are very cheap (under $20). I got it at BBB in brown.

Re: toy box
Nah.. my SIL with 2 kids has 2 toy boxes, but my DS is hyperactive & gets INTO everything. He's slammed by opening and closing drawers too many times to count (he doesn't learn). It was scary watching him with their toy boxes (though most have safety features, my kid will find a way).
I let him go & pick which toys he wants to play with, so the cloth toy box is ideal. We even tilt it over to make it easier for him. He loves it.

Re: toy box
Check Land of Nod for an espresso colored toy box that's where we were going to get ours from. DH found one that fits the theme of the nursery which he liked better. We have the All Store Toy Box Bench from TRU/BRU and it features a slow closing metal safety hinge.

Re: toy box
We registered for this one at BRU Toy Box
If we don't get that, we may just get the cube system from Ikea with cute baskets.
