Double Check With Your Insurance!!!

I called my insurance co. a few months ago to see if they covered breast pumps and was told "only if it was medically necessary". I called again today and asked and I was put on hold for 5 minutes so I had a good feeling. Turns out I am covered 100%. I am so glad I called again so you should double check with your companies because I guess they make mistakes or dont really look it up. I have Anthem BCBS!!!!!!!!!!!

I was just denied by Edgepark via Aetna b/c "they don't have a contract with them" Booooooo!

I'm going to call Aetna tomorrow and find out the dilly.

BCBS told me to go on their website and find the in-network medical suppliers in the area and call to see if they have pumps. I have to use an in-network company. Maybe Edge Park isnt in-network for you?

Edgepark processed my breastpump and I have Anthem BCBS. I called when I was preggo with DD and they gave me the "medically necessary" speech but when I went through Edgepark, no problems. Covered 80%.

I'm guessing this is why Aetna denied the claim
