Spinoff to the NT Scan...if you DIDN'T have one

Did anyone NOT go for the NT Scan?

And if so, did you still get a sono at your 12 week reguar OB apointment?

There are a few reasons why we may be opting out of this test, but I don't want to miss out on actually seeing the baby.

I dont believe you do get a sono if you opt out.

I did not do any testing, but I still get sonos at every appt. no reason, just because.

I did not do it with DS #1 and I did not get a sono at 12 weeks.

I did not do it with this one either BUT I got a sono b/c he needed to measure the baby.

Hmm, so it seems like there's no rhyme or reason to the sonos as 12 weeks.

As long as I hear the heartbeat I'll be happy, but I'd love to see the baby too - I don't want to wait until 20 weeks.

I guess I'll ask next time I talk to the Dr's office.

I did not do the testing but I did get a sono because when the dr tried to check the heartbeat, he couldnt hear it at that point. So I got the sono and everything was fine. It was just a quick check sono, nothing comprehensive but I did get to see baby again!
