It was on our list - it fit all of my qualifications. (can't be shortened, don't know any kids with that name, no negative connotations from DH's former students)
HOWEVER, there is a family member named Christine and DH called her "Deen" as a kid bc he couldn't say her name.We didn't want her thinking the baby's name had anything to do with her.

DS#2 was nameless until the hospital. It was our default name.

I love the name! I have known a few Dean's that are all Greek. I think it's a nickname for Constantine.
*crashing* Yes it is a nickname for Constantine! It was supposed to be DS's nickname but he's still being called Constantine. So I like it!
