My mission ladies..
is to stop eating either a bagel, roll or croissant EVERY morning! Today is the first day of my second trimester and I am already a house!
Queasiness is subsiding and I am laying off the carbs and going back to veggies.. well ok at least laying off the carbs! AND I am getting rid of the cookies and chocolate that seem to have found their way into my drawers at work and cabinets at home.
Thanks for listening, I felt like maybe if I wrote it down for all of you ladies I would feel a sense of accountability

Re: My mission ladies..
I mean, lets face it, me too and I probably will too , but for today, I am being strong!
My mom, who even when non preggo is not one to comment on weight much, commented to me about how perhaps I should not have that second slice of bread with dinner, bc you know, its fattening. lol. Clearly im in trouble lol.

Re: My mission ladies..
I have a bagel for lunch at work every day. It's the only thing that I want. I'm just giving in at this point.

you can do it!! I get mini-bagels now.. gives me my carb fix.. some days, there's nothing more I want than a toasted bagel with some cream cheese.. or a flaky buttery croissant!

I feel the same way. Im a carboholic!
After Mondays Dr. appointment and the start of my third trimester, I decided to put my arse on a preggo diet! (Not a real diet, just super healthy eats instead).
So far its no fun...Im not gonna lie

Re: My mission ladies..
I have a hard time finding breakfast foods I enjoy, so I have a bagel/flagel about 5 days a week for breakfast....
I just try to limit my carbs at lunch/dinner....

Re: My mission ladies..
Whats a flagel?
Anyone have any lunch recommendations that dont involve bread, i.e. the sandwhich i eat every day after the bagel i eat every morning ? =)
... besides salads that is.

Re: My mission ladies..
Soup! I know it is hot but you can do chilled soups-- gaspacho for instance. Filling, delish, and gets those veggies in!

Re: My mission ladies..
Completely know where you are coming from. For the better part of my first trimester all I could handle was carbs. There were days I ate a bagel for breakfast and lunch. And veggies were not a part of my vocabulary, which was odd because I am normally a healthy eater. It'll get better for you (it did for me). Don't forget that you did what you did to get through that first trimester and sometimes your body just needs things - like carbs.
