Really tight stomach
I'm 34 weeks.. and my stomach is EXTREMELY tight. is moving around and is making it even tighter.. to the point that I'm extremely uncomfortable. There's a lot of pressure and it's not comfortable to sit, walk or lay down. Is this normal?
(it's only been going on for the last hour or so.. )

Re: Really tight stomach
But there's no pain at all. Last time (I thought) I had them, it was kind of painful and uncomfortable at the same time.

Re: Really tight stomach
Definitely sounds like Braxton Hicks. For me, sometimes they were painful, but a lot of the time, it was just a tightness and sort of a lifting of my belly.
I remember one night I was in my L&D class at the hospital and the ENTIRE class, I was having annoying contractions. The teacher asked me if I was going to have my baby that night. I said "if this is labor, sign me up!" (In the end, my labor wasn't bad -- my L&D teacher said it was all that "practice" my body had lol... too bad I couldn't have delivery practice... that hurt lol.)

I feel your pain! I get that tightness just to the right of my belly button. REALLY weird and uncomfortable.
I am on bedrest for preterm labor, so I want to ask my doc tomorrow if this is something I should be very concerned about or if it's the "other" contractions that matter more.

Make sure you keep yourself well hydrated, that should help a bit.

Re: Really tight stomach
OMG that is how I was feeling last night... There was so much pressure down there and my stomach kept on getting tight. My DH wanted to take me to the emergency room but I just tried to sleep it off. Today I am back to normal, but now just feeling some pressure down there. I guess its BH Contractions!

Re: Really tight stomach
definitely sounds like BH. I have been having them CONSTANTLY since 24 weeks. I really feel like they started at 16 this time. The intern at Winthrop said no way, but when I looked into it, I read that they could start at 9 or 10 weeks.
The only uncomfortable part this pregnancy is that it sticks my stomach out further, so my back has to work overtime. But i think that's more from age
