We just got the rectangle one as well (FIL picked it up at TRU when he was picking up DS' swingset the other day).

Re: Does anyone have this for their kids?- POOL
Thanks girls!
Let me ask you, did you blow it up just once? See with our small blow up we lept it inflate and just emptied the water at night and put the empty infalted pool in the garage when not in use (at night, etc).
Is this too big to do that?

We bought the rectangle one at TRU last week when it was on sale for $19. Unfortunately there is no drain plug, so we have to either deflate some of the pool or use some buckets to get rid of the water & then dump the rest. Since it is going to be hot the next 3 days, DH & I filled it today & put a tarp on it. I want to get at least 2 days out of the water.

I have a round Intex. Ours needs to be blown up each time. We also dump the water after each use.

Re: Does anyone have this for their kids?- POOL
im lazy...and its too hard for me to empty it alone and fill up all the time... i put a capful of bleach in it once a day and got a net to clean it out i emptied it once a week and just stepped on the side to get most of the water out and then tipped it over so i could move it to a dif. spot on the grass to kill it

Re: Does anyone have this for their kids?- POOL
That looks pretty cool with the seats and cup holders! We also have the rectangle "family pool". Does it's job.
I inflate it and deflate/drain it each time we use it. Hang it over patio chairs or playground slide to dry then fold it up in the garage.
Last year, I found that leaving the water in overnight, it would get slimey and buggy. This year I bought a little skimmer and if I see the cover for it, I'm going to get one to see if that helps. But I like the cap of bleach idea from PP. DH mentioned it and I've yet to try it.
But it's really not that much work to empty it. Our yard is slightly pitched so once I pull the plugs to deflate it, the water naturally runs out the low side. Our electric air bed pump blows it up best and quickest.
We really only use it a couple days a week between beach, parks, mom's "real" pool, friends, etc.
That being said, I love the inflatable one as we do fit in it as a family and have fun but I sometimes still want to get a little cheesy plastic pool that can be dumped and lean against the fence.

We have this one Rectangle Pool I bought it from Amazon, not Target and I paid closer to 40 but mine has a drain and it is definitely necessary.
ETA: I dump it and move it after the end of every day so that my grass doesn't die

We got the banzai spray and slide pool. DD loves it and it has a drain...I don't think it says so online though.
