Freaking out! UPDATED

Im such a clutz and always have been.

I just fell UP the stairs. I was holding my big water bottle and laptop and must have missed the top step.

I landed mostly on my knees and had my hands out..my knees are killing me now, but I think i hit my stomach a little too. It hurt/tingled for a few minutes after.

Im so scared I hurt my babygirl :(

DO you think it's fine? Im going to call my dr on my next break..

UPDATE:

So I called my dr expecting them to say "it's fine," but they told me to come in right away. SO i left work at like 945 and went in.

All is well with baby! Strong heartbeat and active. Of course she wasnt kicking or moving at all until I got to the dr! hahah Glad all is well and I'm back at work now!

I think it takes a MUCH bigger fall than that to hurt the baby. I'm positive you and baby girl are fine. But I'm like you, and would need to call the doctor to be sure. Hang in there! Let me know what they say!

I am sure you are fine. Your baby has a lot of protection in there. If you are worried I would call the doctor.

I'm super clutzy pre-preggo and now it's like I'm drunk all the time...I crash into the wall, lose my balance...so I get it. I would call the doctor if you feel like you may have injured yourself.

I'm sure you are fine but like the PP said, if you are worried, give your OB a call. When I was 30+ week pg with my last DC, I fell down a whole flight of stairs. My OB sent me to L&D to be monitored for a few hours. I was beat up and bruised but the baby was perfectly fine, thankfully!! The nurses there told me they have a lot of 'padding' to protect them and it would take a LOT to actually hurt the baby.

this happened to me when I was 34 weeks pregnant withh DD. I also expected them to tell me everything was fine but they told me to go to the hospital (it was a weekend and I was down on the jersey shore). everything was fine and it was reassuring to hear it from the experts. THey did say that it really does take a much more serious fall or accident to hurt the baby. THey are well protected in there! glad to hear everything is fine!

OMG I know how scary that is. I fell down the stairs really bad and even though i didnt hit the tummy i was still scared. Im so happy all is ok with you.
