EDITED: DRYER sheets yay or nay
So I’m pretty much the worst person when it comes to doing laundry. However I’ve been reading online and on here that when it comes to washing the baby’s clothes I shouldn’t use fabric softener at all. When I mentioned it to my mother she thought I was crazy and saying how drying clothes without using anything it will come out all hard and crunky/staticy and horrible. Is this what you do? Is there a certain brand that is acceptable to use? Thanks ladies!
Edited: ok i'm a tard- i mean dryer sheets! What do you use if anything when drying the baby clothes

Re: Fabric softener yay or nay
I don't use fabric softener on my own clothes and they come out perfectly fine. I am a natural girl and fabric softener is so far from natural. I wouldn't use it for the baby. Just use either All Free and Clear or Dreft.

Agree with the above- I don't use them either. You could also use dryer balls (or tennis balls for that matter), which help soften clothes.

I use dryer sheets for mine and DH's clothes but do not use it for DS. His clothes comes out fine in the dryer without dryer sheets or softener.

i think i read somewhere that it kills the flame retardancy of the baby clothes - i could be wrong though!

Dryer Sheets and Fabric Softener can reduce the flame retardancy of clothing.
When DD was an infant (and really up until about a year ago), I did not use fabric softener in the wash, and I used dryer balls in the dryer.
I have now gone back to dryer sheets, but I'll have to switch again when this comes

I've used these for all of DS clothes for past 19 mths, but I really don't put a lot of clothes in dryer bc they shrink. I use these for all his sheets, blankets, socks, etc. They work great clothes are always soft. Dryer Balls

I have never used fabric softener or dryer sheets for myself or for my son. I know they are not safe to use for baby clothes. And I have honestly never seen a need to use them anyway!

Re: EDITED: DRYER sheets yay or nay
I've washed all of clothes last week and used dryer sheets. Not sure if that was a bad decision, but i'm sure it's fine. My mom always used them for us as kids, so I just did it.
