What would you say is a reasonable price for drycleaning a dress?
I was charged $25, and that seems steep to me. I wanted to see what everyone else thought.

No stain. I wore it for 2 events a week apart. I dry cleaned it after the first event because I was sitting for over 2 hours in an un-airconditioned synogogue so I figured it could stand to be cleaned before the next event.

beaded? What was the material?
Beaded dresses really can't be dry cleaned. They are usually spot cleaned and sometimes spot pressed.
That is a lot for a straight ahead dry cleaning.
My dry cleaner is not cheap but I think I pay $13.

Just some pearls and jewels sewn on at the neck. It was a brocade material with a lining. Pretty simple I thought.

My dry cleaner charged $8 to dry clean a simple black dress, so $25 def seems high!

Re: What would you say is a reasonable price for drycleaning a dress?
I think mine is like $16 and my dry cleaner is on the more expensive side. $25 is crazy. I pay $25 for alterations, which are way more work than a simple cleaning.

Re: What would you say is a reasonable price for drycleaning a dress?
I think mine is $12 or $14 for the dresses I normally wear to work. Most places charge more if it is a long dress or silk, but $25 seems high. Was it a rush?
