feeling naive
Question??? Why register for undershirts and onesies? Don't they serve the same purpose?
Feeling lost and confused..

Re: feeling naive
Keeps the baby warm. If it were just a shirt and pants the shirt could go up, the belly exposed and they get cold easily. Rule of thumb is that babies always need one extra layer of clothing than YOU are wearing.
Also, for leaks. Sometimes itll just leak (pee or poop) on the onsie and save the clothing from getting messed up too.

I guess what I'm trying to ask is why do people get both, does one have a different purpose over the other at different times, Or is it ok to just get one or the other?
TIA

Re: feeling naive
We never did undershirts, I personally never saw the need for them since they don't do anything onesies can't do IMO. Onesies are an amazing invention though!

Re: feeling naive
I never used the undershirts. You mean those side snap ones right? I thought they were a waste- they always rode up and left ds exposed and also sorta twisted in his shirt. I didn't even use them in the hospital.

Re: feeling naive
I was told by many friends, and Baby Bargains, to only use the side snap shirts in the beginning due to the belly button. Is this right?

We used onesies the whole time, even before her cord stump fell off (day 13). You fold down the top of the diaper so it creates a little space under the onesie anyway so it doesn't rub/irritate.
