$200M Powerball ticket sold in Lindenhurst
wow. very lucky.
Time to get jealous.
The winner of the $200 million Powerball jackpot drawn Wednesday night bought the ticket at a stationery store in Lindenhurst.
The New York State Lottery site said the winning Quick-Pick ticket was sold at the Maulik & Chandni store on West Montauk Highway.

Store owner Mitul Patel, who said he goes by the name Mike, told Newsday he got a call from lottery officials early Thursday telling him his store sold the winning ticket.
Patel said he doesn't know who bought the ticket.
"We sell a lot of tickets," Patel said. "I have no idea who. Not yet."
The winning combination was 8, 18, 38, 46, 56 with the winning Powerball No. 31.
The lottery website said the first-place prize is $201,900,000. The cash value of that prize was not immediately available Thursday.
There were nine second-place winners nationwide -- including one in Staten Island and one in upstate Carmel. Those players had all five numbers correct, but missed the Powerball number. Those tickets are worth a cool $200,000.
Which, of course, is a far cry from $200 million.
"It's a lot," Patel said.
Powerball tickets are sold in 31 states, as well as in Washington, D.C., and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The Powerball jackpot hadn't been hit since April 23, when one winning ticket for a $72 million first prize was sold in Indiana.
Maulik & Chandni has had previous big winners -- though, Patel said, nothing ever this big.
A Lindenhurst woman, Barbara Bornn, won a $96,834 second-place prize in a Lotto drawing last June, while retired truck driver James Grassia won $1 million on a Red Hot Million scratch-off ticket sold at the store in 2006, according to the New York Lottery.

The owners also own a card store in W. Islip and she was telling me today about this. Damn, I wish it was me, I always buy my tickets from their store.
