PO'd at Zappos!!!
I recently got a bonus, and wanted to buy something nice for myself.
I ordered a Michael Kors white ceramic watch from Zappos. I tried it on in Macy's and it was priced at $495. Zappos was having a sale and it was $385. So I ordered it.
I got it today, and it looked off right away. It was in the box, but had no protective film over the face and no plastic wrapping over the ceramic bracelet. Then I tried it on, it it was waaaaay to small. Strange, since I have never had a watch that didn't need links taken out to make it fit.
I called Zappos customer service. I told the rep that it was missing the protective film and wrapping, and that it seemed as if links had been taken out.
She looked it up and said "Oh yes, it was a return". What??? They are sending me a new one, but I am still annoyed. How can the re-sell and item that was obviously used and altered.
Would you be annoyed?

Re: Pisses at Zappos!!!
Yes, I'd be annoyed too. But, they're fixing the situation and it probably wouldn't stop me from ordering from them again.

I agree, it's more of a hassle but they have great customer service.

Re: PO'd at Zappos!!!
they fix situations like nobody! Let them fix it for you!
I think she was just being honest with you, a lot of places put protective film back on a return and sell it like new. I like they are just upfront. And if the condition is perfect, who cares if someone tried it on first, wouldn't it be the same in the store?

ehhh I don't see the need to be po'd about this.
They were being honest when you called, they are fixing it and like a pp said plenty of stores re-sell returned items.
I love Zappos...

Re: PO'd at Zappos!!!
They have to re-sell returns. Otherwise they propabably wouldn't have such an easy return policy. It is supposed to be unworn--but tried on is ok. I'm sure someone just didn't realize links were taken out. I'd be more po'd at the person who sent back an altered watch.
I am sure they will send a new one quickly.
It could be worse--I once bought a shower curtain from Target that looked all new & was folded neatly in the package but was all dirty on the inside b/c someone returned their USED one.

Re: PO'd at Zappos!!!
I am sure they didnt realize links had been taken out. I am sure they send out returned items all the time, and they do check their items (I once returned 2 shoes that were the wrong sizes, since i ordered 7 and 7.5 and didn't realize I mixed the two sizes up....and they caught that). As for links taken out, they would not likely realize that. So I don't think you should be pizzed at them, they are rectifying it and they will rectify it.
