Layette for the baby... Where?
For DS we got our layette at Denny's. My IL's and parents paid and it was a lot. We're team green so going to take out DS's nice, newborn clothes from Denny's, but I want to get some more clothes for the first week or so and get some girl stuff if it's a girl. We'll obviously return what we won't need.
Where are you getting a lot of the baby's clothes from? I was thinking some from Denny's, but where else is good? Nice, cotton, soft clothes to put the baby in?

I was in Carter's the other day too and going to get some stuff from there once I see what we receive as gifts for the shower.

I second Carter's...tons of things baby girls, too! And you can't beat their return policy if its a boy...no time limit!
I also saw very cute baby girl things at Macy's.

Carter's, Target, Kohls. Denny's is crazy! I will get a onesie or two in there with those cute sayings, but I wouldn't buy the majority of the clothes there. Especially since they were them for such a short time!

Same here! I went crazy on their 50% sale. I think I own everything they have.

I did my layette at Denny's last time as well-- and while I am NO WHERE near close to being at the point of doing it again-- I will probably get one or two things from there, but not nearly as much as I did the first time.
What about the Petot Bateu outlet at The Arches? Also Bloomies always have baby sales and they have some cute stuff.

We spent a ton at dennys and honestly she barely wore anything and my mom and in laws spent wayyyyyy too much money!!!!! This time around I got some stuff at Dennys obviously but a lot at carters bc honestly thats what DD lived in the first few weeks...I also got a ton of stuff at Century they had some great things that I saw at Dennys believe it or not for half the price

Yes! This is exactly my thought. Both parents spent almost $600 at Dennys for clothes he wore once with the matching blanket and hat. 
Not doing that this time. I may get one or two things. The outfit for the Bris was from Dennys and was really cute.
Problem is we don't have a Carters that close where I live in NJ. Oh, and no Century 21 either.
I'll have to check out BRU and some Dept stores at the mall
