This is the beginning of week three of no daytime sippies. Besides DH giving him a bottle last week one day when he wouldn't drink he has only been getting sippies during the day (still gets bedtime bottle.) He has gotten worse, not better. He will now only drink from the sippy if you hold it for him and basically refuses the afternoon sippy. My brother (who's with him this morning) just told me he only took like three sips this morning, and I know he's thirsty. Do we just keep up with this and let him be thirsty in the interim? I need some encouragement. I thought it would be getting easier, not harder.

Try offering a straw cup instead to see if that interests him. Don't go back to the bottle. He will not do any damage to himself. He just wants to see that you are serious.

He does use the straw sippies. I know he's playing games. Believe you me, I'm not giving him a bottle during the day, I'm just frustrated though!!!

I wish I had advice but I'm going through this too I tried to hold strong because she would randomly drink the cups when she wanted to last week but she drank next to nothing yesterday and all her diapers were dry so I tried going back to the bottle last night and this morning and now she wont even take that. I'm calling the ped now because she's going to get dehydrated
