Take the bottle away permanently. Once she sees that she won't get it back then she will drink out of the cup.

And remember, milk is just milk, its a drink, not DC's primary source of nutrition like BM or formula was.

Re: tips for getting the baby to drink her milk out of a sippy cup

This is what I did. First I tried tons of different sippies. I have a collection in my cabinets! DS loved drinking out of the take and toss straw cups. I started with a morning sippy. I continued the other 2 bottles since DS used them to go to sleep for nap and nighttime for a while. I would let DS drink his sippy in the morning. After that, when I was ready to get rid of the other bottles, I gave him a sippy before his bottle and reduced his the amounts in his bottle. So if I felt that he drank 3 oz in his sippy then I only gave him 2-3 in his bottle. Eventually he got used to drinking all of his milk in the sippy. I didn't make a big deal of it and when he was ready he was off bottles. It didn't matter to me if he was off at 12 months or 16.

I tried a ton of different kinds. We ended up going with the Born Free training cup because it has a soft spout.

DS does this too. I started the transition to cow's milk 2 weeks ago. He'll take 1 or 2 sips from the sippy cup, but then spits out the milk. He has no problem drinking water from the sippy. Right now, he'll only drink warmed up milk in a bottle. Right now, I want him to get used to drinking milk during the day and not nursing. I hope to get rid of the bottles soon though.

ETA: He's very stubborn and won't drink/eat something if he doesn't want to.
