Anyone else's mom insist on buying you new pj's for the hospital?
I don't know if it is only my mom, or other people whose moms are the same age, but my mom has insisted on buying me new pj's to take to the hospital both this time and with DD.
I tried politely explaining that after labor I will probably not want to wear anything new but my mom tried to say that people would be coming to visit and I should try to look nice instead of wearing yoga pants and nursing camis
So I found nursing pj's on pajamagrams and she ordered them Whether or not I wear them in the hospital is a different story
Anyone else have an old school mom who thinks you need to wear pretty pjs for the visitors?

My mom probably thought that but never said it.
I was up and dressed every day after each kid-yoga pants and a nice t shirt. I just can't be in PJs all day, even in the hospital

my wants to buy me new pajamas for the hospital because i said, i'm not planning on it. she wants to make my hospital bag.. i appreciate the gesture.. i do.. but sometimes

Haha yeah, my mom wants to get me a nightgown and matching robe set (because that is what my grandmother did for her).
I didn't get it for my shower. Maybe my bday the end of June.
I know she likes to do these kinds of things so... whatever makes her happy.

My mom never said anything, butr I can picture her saying it. She's also the one who says never leave the house without makeup

YES!
my mom bought me 4 pajamas
2 pink, 2 blue - she brought me the 2 pink ones after DD was born and we knew she was a girl
it was nice to put on nice new clean pajamas and i wore them at home too when I got home and wanted to be comfy and only family was over

Dear Moms, ya gotta love 'em!!!! Sounds like something my Mom would have said to me. Bless her heart, she was always concerned about appearances!!!!  I should mention though that I had new nightgowns, not for appearances, but just 'cause. Mary

My Mom got me 3 pairs of pjs, a robe and slippers , she will probably do the same again.
I did wear my pjs (maybe not all THREE! lol) but the robe went out the window b/c I was SO HOT all.the.time!
ETA- I love that she does this to be honest. I'd do the same for my daughter too. (if I have one this time around!)
