May be a bit TMI....
So I'm 32 weeks today.. and for the past 3-4 days.. my vajajay has been pretty itchy :( This has never happened to me before.. there's no unusual discharge, or smell.. and I'm a bit worried. I'm going to see my dr today after work.. but I'm kind of emberassed about asking him about this :( lol
Has anyone else experienced this? What do I do?

This was my thinking. I've had a couple in my life and don't always have discharge with them. And if I do, usually the itchiness happens first.

You probably have a yeast infection. Its very common in pregnancy, especially at the end. With DD I had one around this time and he wouldnt treat it since I didnt have any symptoms, didnt even know I had one...Told me it would go away once I delivered and it must have since I never treated it. Call you OB

I *think* she was saying hers wasn't treated only bc she had no symptoms. You have symptoms, so if it IS in fact a yeast infection, presumably your doc would treat it.

If it is a yeast infection start eating a lot of yogurt bc they are very common during pregnancy and may return. Yogurt helps a lot!

Yogurt (regular, not fat free) and drink lots of cranberry juice. Actually, I think that's for a UTI, but doesn't hurt

Re: May be a bit TMI....
make sure you're wearing cotton underwear. thats what my OBGYN told me once. Yeast doesnt like dry areas. Silk undies or anything like that tend to hold in moisture.

Re: May be a bit TMI....
It could also be bacterial vaginosis(?) Easily treated with antibiotics and happens a lot esp in the end. I had it w/Emmy and never even knew. It doesn't hurt the baby or you. I slept comando for a few nights and took the pills. Good as new until I had my vag delivery, but that is another thread

ITA.. and stay of sugars and anything starchy as well.. a bit gross, but if you smear some yogurt down there and then clean, it will help relieve the itch too.

Yes thanks Maureen!! I had no symptoms, was not itchy or anything so when he told me I had one I was like . Thats why he didnt treat me. I also had on early on in this PG and I took Monistat. Im sure he will treat you if in fact that is what it is!
